AVG Internet Security is above average internet security suites software; however, if offers few of the extras that some of our higher ranked products include, such as parental controls. But all in all AVG is a great security suite and they offer one of the most powerful and popular free versions of antivirus software available online.
Antispyware: 
The antispyware scanner included with AVG Internet Security is one of the most effective in any internet security suite. There are some that are on the same level, but none that are better.
Grisoft included an ADS scanner within the main scanning features included with AVG Internet Security. ADS means Alternate Data Stream and is a way for files to be hidden in a place on your computer where most security scanners do not see. Having the ability to look in these places and find spyware and viruses is extremely important in keeping your computer clean and safe.
Antivirus: 
AVG AntiVirus has been a force in the antivirus market for years. Their reputation among computer users is nearly flawless. The virus scanner they have developed is certified by ICSA, W.C.L and VB100%. These certifications are a measure of how well an antivirus utility does its job. Having all three of the certifications listed above is uncommon and shows a commitment to creating an excellent product.
Firewall: 
AVG's firewall is good, but still needs some work. It doesn't have much of a default configuration to speak of. It does have a couple settings for a standalone computer or a computer on a domain, but they mostly change what programs are blocked by default. This is a good start but requires that you approve or deny every program that you connect to the internet with. Beyond the little issue of default configuration, AVG's firewall is very strong.
Other Security/Features: 
Grisoft didn't include much in the way of extras with AVG Internet Security.
Ease of Use: 
AVG Internet Security is very easy to use. Most of the configuration is already done for you with the exception of the firewall configuration. The other stuff pretty much stays out of the way and doesn't let you know it even exists.
The installation of AVG Internet Security is mostly easy and to the point. The install is pretty smooth until you get to some of their configuration questions. Some of the questions can be confusing if you are not an advanced user or experienced with AVG.
Help/Support: 
AVG Internet Security has several help and support options available. The application help is helpful, but can be a bit weak when it comes to more advanced features. AVG also has an online FAQ and email support. Enterprise customers have some other support options as well.
Summary:
AVG Internet Security performed well in all of our testing. It caught all of our viruses we tested it with and stopped all spyware we attacked it with.
The major downfall to this security suite is the significant slowdown of our test system while it was installing. Boot times were about 20 seconds slower and opening just about any program took at least a few seconds longer than normal. The lack of extras was also a drawback. Keep all this is mind when searching for an internet security suite for your computer.

Advanced SystemCare PRO is very easy to use. Several of the included tools are already available in every copy of Windows, but can be hard to locate and utilize. This software packages those tools, and several more in an easy to use system. The software is streamlined, sleek, and utilizes a well designed user interface. The program is pretty intuitive, and simple to navigate. Advanced SystemCare PRO utilizes tabs and icons to help you get to each tool. Advanced SystemCare does have several features for advanced users, but the program also runs effectively as a set-and-forget software. The program can be set to run automatically, including a complete defrag system that will run when it reaches a certain level of fragmentation. There are a number of scans and fixes that are combined into a single scan session, and we were impressed with how quick they ran, even on our bloated test computer. The defrag process took long, but certainly not any longer than it would doing it yourself with the Windows defrag utility.

Advanced SystemCare PRO puts powerful maintenance tools at the tip of your fingers. After an initial “Deep scan”, it’s important to keep your system clean and maintained. This set of utilities includes the tools to optimize not only your registry and startup programs, but your copy of Windows, and internet experience. Diagnostic utilities include graphs of PC performance and detailed system information.
Repair/Recovery: 
The tools in Advanced SystemCare PRO are effective and robust. The “Deep Scan” technology is able to unearth all sorts of computer problems, including missing, duplicated, or otherwise corrupt files. Advanced SystemCare from IObit actually locates and cleans up 50 different types of junk files. But more than simply locating and removing frivolous files, the software also helps locate missing information and fix registry errors. Advanced SystemCare will even help you find and obtain the newest drivers for all your installed software and hardware.
Optimization: 
Advanced SystemCare includes the tools to defrag and compact both your computer registry and hard drive. Advanced SystemCare is certainly not an alternative to antivirus software or a complete internet security suite, but helps keep your threat level down, and is compatible (won’t interfere with) security software. Advanced SystemCare is a complete all-in-one solution, with the tools to securely repair, clean and optimize your entire system.
Help/Support: 
Advanced SystemCare PRO is pretty easy to use, and has a self-explanatory user interface. Unfortunately, additional help is comparatively weak. They offer an online FAQ and user forum, but both are incomplete and a bit lackluster. You can get free assistance over email or instant live chat, which is certainly a convenience. The in-program help is also limited, simply redirecting users to the decent but incomplete online support center.
Summary:
For a great lineup of system utilities and optimization tools, Advanced SystemCare from IObit is a solid option and a worthy contender on our list of utility suites. Input Files:
AVS Video Converter is one of the most versatile video converter programs we evaluated. It was able to handle just about anything we threw at it.  AVS Video Converter’s  comprehensive list of supported input files including WMV (Windows Media Video), AVI, MPEG 1 and 2, MOV (QuickTime), RM (RealMedia), MP4 (iPod and PSP), DVD and more. We really liked that we could rip and convert files directly from a DVD or minidisc. Unlike most software, AVS suggest using the IFO files instead of the VOB files because they contain more information and make for a better conversion. We did not encounter any problems when converting the IFO files. We found that AVS Video Converter also supports most popular HD formats including AVCHD, MPEG-2 HD and WMV HD. Few affordable video converters have updated to include high definition support. The only files we were unable to convert consistently was FLV files downloaded from YouTube. The AVS Video Converter would only convert the video, not audio.
Output Files: 
Supported output files include WMV, AVI, MPEG 1 and 2, MOV, SWF and more. This is one of the few products we evaluated that also includes a broad range of media player outputs. AVS Video Converter not only outputs to iPod, iPhone and Zune, but also lesser known brands like Creative Zen, Archos Xbox360, PSP, iRiver and more. We had no problems converting to several media players with varying format requirements. However, you do need to be a little more versed about bitrates to know which output profile will work for you. Additionally, AVS Video Converter can convert all your downloaded, uploaded or transferred video to DVD compatible formats using its own built in burner; an overlooked, yet invaluable feature. You can also customize your outputs' codices, frame size (good for media players), frame rate, bitrate and more.
Features:
As mentioned previously, perhaps one of AVS Video Converter’s best features is the built in DVD burner. After you’ve converted your video files to an NTSC (U.S.) or PAL (Europe) compatible format you simply burn your file to a DVD and your video is ready to be played in any standard DVD player. With AVS Video Converter you can do some minor video editing and enhancement by adding picture effects, additional audio tracks, splitting, joining and more. Although AVS Video Tools does have the ability to adjust advanced features, like bitrates or sample rates, we had a difficult time finding where to make the adjustments. There is an "edit profiles" button located on the right side of the interface that leads you to an advanced adjustments screen. Although the button is clearly visible we didn't notice or realize right away that it was for adjusting features like bitrates.
Ease of Use: 
AVS Video Converter is a small application with an intuitive interface. Simply choose your output from the icons located along the toolbar, select your input file from your hard drive, direct your output to your preferred video folder and convert. After a file is converted AVS will automatically send your converted video to your “Video” folder located in your “My Documents” file or you can direct your converted video to a specific file of your choice.
Help and Support:
We contacted customer support twice describing our difficulties converting FLV files. Although neither suggestion given to us by the support team worked we had a lengthy correspondence with one representative that tried very hard to make the software work accordingly. In the end, we ended up sending our files to AVS to be analyzed and hopefully the software will be updated in the near future. Unfortunately, we had to go hunting for the standard help files. They do not have a help button in the application, but there is a very small prompt in the lower left corner telling you to press F1. It was difficult to find and we didn’t notice the command the first few times we used the product.
Summary:
With the exception of converting Flash files, the AVS Video Tools is almost perfect. AVS Video Converter is suggested if you are looking to convert your home movies to both portable devices like iPod or to DVD.
